Yet we are in lockdown and we are home. Yet we do nothing … or a little … or less than usual.

Why don’t we have time? Where does this time go?

One of the activities for which GiglioCooking has been successful are the “private lessons”. They are lessons forged on the request of the client-student. We offer a shortlist of a thousand (and even more) recipes, the customer chooses which ingredients to work with and which techniques to learn.

This decision requires a little attention and even a little time.

Since we started, 12 years ago, this whole transaction has always been done by email: the customer asks for a date, an hour and we agree on this first. Then we send the list of recipes which is very long and we specify that he can ask for more and can, if he wants, not read the list, but talk directly with us, always by email.

Agreement is reached for the program or for the menu. Any time we have got to a customized lesson after a “human” interaction. When the client came, we already know each other a little bit.

Then the payment: we provide our IBAN and a transfer is made to us; or the customer provides his credit card and we make the withdrawal; or the payment is by paypal.

All this takes time, email exchanges, use of other websites to complete the payment transaction. What a beard! Change site, enter home banking, or take the credit card from the wallet and write the numbers in the email, or enter paypal… ..too much time… what a beard. You can no longer waste all this time. We are in 2021 … ..

Then the online booking sites, which also provide a payment service, come to our aid.

You pay immediately, there is no need to change sites, take out the card from your wallet or do other operations that steal time. I would have to say many more things: of the type that these systems do not accept prepaid cards from GiglioCooking, but only accept them from customers and at the same time free themselves from any responsibility. Each extra service is paid separately, including the possibility of having multiple bookings for the same lesson.

Since time is money. Let’s say my time goes with my money in the pockets of those who become the richest in the world.

All this because if this were not the case GiglioCooking would not even take the crumbs. Let me explain: if there were no booking and payment system directly on the site – without “wasting time” doing it from their home banking – customers would desist and would not book.

We don’t want to waste time. We want to have everything with a click.

We do not realize that we lose a lot of it, along with our money.

Because if time is money, money is time too.
