The communication came from the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts of Florence, the first to be established in 1770 by Duke Pietro Leopoldo II of Lorraine: the oldest in Italy.
The reference year is 2019. The award ceremony should have taken place in 2020, with a celebration. Then the pandemic stopped every event and the award ceremony took place on 21 October 2021 with the limitations of the case.
This is the certified email sent by the Chamber of Commerce on 28 September 2021

We are pleased to send you the invitation for the award ceremony of the Firenze e il Lavoro 2019 Award, which after a wait of more than a year, will take place at the Auditorium of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, Thursday 21 October. 2021.
Please check the awards ceremony carefully, as COVID regulations require the winners to be divided into two groups.
We also specify that only one person per awarded company can participate in the event and that, according to recent government regulations, it will be possible to access the Chamber Auditorium only by showing the Green-Pass.
In the next few days, the Secretariat of the Presidency of this Chamber will contact you by telephone to verify the receipt of this invitation and to collect any accompanying needs if the person who receives the prize is handicapped.
Looking forward to meeting you, we send you our best regards.
Presidency Secretariat

I did not expect. I did not know anything about it and there was no participation in any competition. A recognition that came by itself.
So I went to the Auditorium. Here I am on stage.

Many were awarded: 100 companies in the metropolitan area of Florence. There were political figures, including the President of the Tuscany Region Eugenio Giani.
The real surprise came when the President of the C.C.I.A. of Florence, Leonardo Bassilichi, in the opening speech and thanking the companies that “are resisting”, said that the 100 awarded were evaluated by an internal commission and chosen from 118,000. One hundred and eighteen thousand! That is to say GiglioCooking is one in 1.180 !!!
What to say? THANK YOU!
A recognition that is a push to “resist”, as the President says, to continue and improve.
We will do our best.
