2022 hasn’t been a year of “writing”, which is the only thing I regret about it. It has been, instead, a year of action. Lot of action. Maybe because the entire world needed action after the pandemic lockdown.
After having discovered shyly and gradualy the benefit of “hugging”, we have restarted to travel and do activities. We have restarted to discover and learn.
In 2022 I have been from July 22nd to decemebr 20th without posting anything on this blog. Unbelievable!
And trememdous! It has been electric and electrifying.
Now, after the Christmas break, I am yawning and stretching, as reservations are rolling up at school.
Thus: much work at the horizon.
Not only.
2023 is starting with new perspectives. Actually: old perspectives.
While at the end of every december my habit was to draw up a budget of the just finishes year, this time this melancholic activity didn’t “cloud” my mind, as I was thrilled with sparkling ideas.
This time, the end of december has been different: a new challenge appeared in my life. The first reaction was: worries, negative thoughts, sleepless nights. I know I have the good habir to talk with trusted friends. Once again, thanks to them, my mind changed and the new challenge became a good occasion. I am keeping the secret now, just for superstition…
The name of the school, GiglioCooking, comes mainly from my birthplace, Giglio island. The original project was to start an international school on the island. After a few attempts, I (partially) gave up, leaving my dream in a corner of my head while I opened and then I have been carrying on the school in Florence.
This year Giglio has been nominated the best turistic destination at O.N.U.

This award is giving and extra strenght to my determination of pursuing the old dream. Ideas are becoming concrete. It will still take time: Italy is a pretty slow country. But I know I will get there.
I am ready!
