Repeat visits from customers who later become friends are the most rewarding. It means there’s not just a “culinary bond,” but a mutual respect and appreciation for who we are. I must say, in this regard, that “life in the kitchen” with other people shows us who we are. In a certain way, our “true” side shines through in our gestures, how we interact with others: the way we present our food reflects how we present ourselves.
Barbara Richard is one of those: a dear, lovely always-young lady who continues to show up with her kind manners. I am not exaggerating if I say that she flows like a butterfly, stopping to spread sparkling energy in the place she recognizes as friendly places.
My deeply sincere thanks to you, Dear Barbara. I know for sure that you are one of those magic bugs able to give to the people what they need to receive. So you do with me. You give me affection for my person and confirmation for the goodness of my job.
Barbara arrived this time with three friends. Thus now I have more butterlfy-friends flowing and eventually stopping at my place sometimes…
This is the mail we received from Marie:

Marta and Marcella…we have all arrived back home in the US, tired, a bit of a cold, yet so full of our Italian experiences. Not sure if you were aware but our visit with Barbara was actually delayed a day because of travel issues on our way. So, your class was our first full day in Florence and an amazing way to start! Marcella, you are a teacher and guide to many things and we thank you for sharing so much with us. I cherish the personal time and conversations. I will try to buy the freshest form of pasta without making my own and make the tomato sauce. I will imagine you in my kitchen.
Marta, thank you for arranging this beautiful opportunity for us.
Marcella, I loved watching your friendship with Barbara! Lots of love and respect.
My best wishes for a continued beautiful life and I’m thankful we met.
To answer to you, dear Marie: We will be there, dear Marie, in your kitchen There is a connection and it is physical, through the waves in the air. ANd, it may happens also that I come to the USA, one of these days……THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
