ABOUT ME

This is how I want to start 2026: with a charge of energy to make me feel that I have been doing well and, when I haven’t, I was acting in good feith.

The photo in the covert is the dedication written on the book of Poems by Barbara Conrad. She says I am able to transmit love from my heart to the food I cook.

This is the note on the flowers Gwyn gave me at the end of the cooking course last November.

She saw my intention: to take out the capability and creativity which are inside each of us. I am grateful she saw and she said that.

During my last trip in America, in the magical town of Winston Salem, I was hosted at friends of friends’ house. We organized a cooking party. This is the mail that John and Judy sent to me:

Hi Marcella,

What a treat to receive your considerate note! 

 The night of our cooking exploration, you moved from one station to another adeptly and patiently explaining your craft and our responsibilities.  Your attention to detail and timing was impeccable throughout the evening.  In the end, as we gathered around the table celebrating our mutual efforts with laughter and good food, I concluded something about you as well.  Marcella, you are a purveyor of pleasure, a curator of joy, and an educator extraordinaire of culinary delights rolled delightfully into one main entree. 

The evening was magical and memorable.

Judy and I, perhaps with our adult son Josiah, hope to dine with you again in Florence!

Thank you to myself, to the strenght I have every morning to face a new day and what it brings: good, relaxing, tiring, or bad. Thank you to myself to be able to storage energy to face life when life beats strong. Thank you Marcella.
