The success of the Private Lessons
at Gigliocooking is that they are really “private”. You can book the day and the time of the day, then you have to decide what to cook, based on food restrictions, your will to learn a particular technique or to encounter a particular food.
There is also another option: a simple, delicious, usual meal that can be done easily at home.
Why not understanding tricks for a succulent ragu and a golden chicken cacciatora?
What, if every single action is professionally made?

Starting from mincing vegetables with a chef knife, then developing gluten as making pasta, then stretching it thin and perfect, so that it is firm and soaked with sauce when you eat it…. doesn’t is sound appealing?

This is Samantha’s Mother, finishing the Tiramisù
What about a creamy and fluffy cream that caresses the palate and at the same time “pick you up” with tantalizing coffee? What if you learn how to make it safer, pasteurizing eggs?

The Chef was Stella. I was her Sous Chef: putting tools and ingredients under her hands, clearing when she had finished. The only thing she couldn’t do was to mince onions. But she tried and tried until she resisted. Other than that, she is naturally skilled with knives, she could calibrate with soaking lady’s fingers in the coffee and all the needed actions in the kitchen.
The result was a feast meal perfectly executed.
Samantha sent me an email, a few days later the class together. She wrote it in Italian, with my great joy. Here it is:
Ciao Marcella,
Grazie ancora!
Samantha

Hi Marcella,
Thank you so much for a truly memorable experience for my family. It was a highlight of our trip to Italy! You are a wonderful teacher, a lovely person and it was a joy to be in the kitchen with you. I hope you enjoyed your time with us as well.
It would be great to come up with some ideas on how we might be able to work together in the future. That would be great! At the very least, I hope our paths cross again in some way.
I wish you, Marta, Matteo and the rest of your family a lovely Easter.
Thanks again!

Three generations of cooks… at the end of a fun cooking day.
