THE ROWS OF MARASCHE (SOUR CHERRIES)

They were planted by Sandro along the road to the Castle.

In this stretch the suggestion of the place increases, framing the Campese bay.

They are sour cherry trees. I have a memory of many years ago, maybe I was 18: we brought branches of ripe sour cherries to Gigi, a very good and famous Barman in his G club. He invented a cocktail for us with them.

They are here, on the road, available to everyone. Rows of trees that run through it for several hundred meters. They have become part of the familiar landscape since they were planted there; now we love them, like we love the fig trees, mulberry trees, brambles with blackberries, chestnut trees. Unfortunately, the latter are now dry.

Their white in spring, and then the green of the foliage and finally the red of the fruits contribute to making the Lily an even more special place.
